 Please note that a number of classes/sites will not meet
for classes during December when we take WINTER/Holiday Break.
Nearly all classes and tutor matches will take holiday break

*WOMEN’S SEWING INITATIVE- Looking for Volunteer Sewing help and help to support some
oversite needs with sewing project activity sites (project provides classes, art/fashion design
 ops & textile experiences,  for Women and Teen Girls). 299 5982

*We also have a number of Environment Projects including a Annual May PLANT EXCHANGE
that kicks off our summer native plant projects. 299 5982

Free -- Adult Basic Literacy Instruction    
(Tutor or class support for learning to read and write, or
Pre GED instruction study support.  Basic Math Instruction

Students that enroll/sign up are provided a tutor or Reading Group
and scheduled a time to meet weekly with that tutor /small group
that fits the student's needs and availablity to meet.

INTERNSHIPS
Bluegrass Literacy has INTERNSHIPS or Work Study options available for  service for fall and winter. Most support areas are a two month or
more arrangement with hours during week schedule or scheduled hours some times during the month on weekends. 
 
INTERNS work with Second Language Adult Classes, Puppets for Peace Project Sessions, Women's Wholesome Table (with refugee women learning about keeping safe and healthy kitchen and how to shop/prep/cook from American grocery). Interns will also support various activities with summer literacy program outreach and sub needs with classes. 
 
If you are interested in credit for a project or need to complete a project for credit in an internship or WORK STUDY option this is a good choice.
